So much computing and internetting power

at my fingertips; so little to say with it.

Starbucks' eggnog lattes are good.

I'd bet they'd taste even better with a touch of brandy in them.

A good future blog entry would be to detail my ongoing life project of reading one Charles Dickens book each year, starting when I was thirty and continuing until I'm forty-five. But not this entry.

Night!

Happy Thanksgiving

everyone. Cathleen and Corky were over here tonight, along with Mark and Charmaine and their respective kids Miles and Sage, and Corky mentioned that he's involved in an online RPG and said there might be a space for me. How cool would that be? Or would it be dorky? I went to the site (2d10.com) but couldn't find his particular game. Still... would I like that or would I feel so geeky that I'd have to bail out right away?

Couldn't be any more geeky than typing out a blog that no one knows about.

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving

and we're having friends over, as my parents are in Oregon visiting my sister.

I've asked for the new Annotated Sherlock Holmes Short Stories for Christmas.

Margot slept through the night last night, and hopefully she'll do it again tonight. It's been weeks since she's done that.

She didn't. She woke up as I was typing that sentence. I mean, literally as I was typing that sentence. That's gotta be some kind of record, or something. Or at least a coincidence. I think we can all agree that it's a coincidence. I covered her with her blanket and gave her her baby and she went back to sleep.

I'm going to see The Incredibles with John P. this Friday.

And that's all I have to say in this blog.

A book I'll never write

would have a character named "Dogu" in it. It would be me, only not me, because his name is "Dogu." It would be some kind of a fantasy or science fiction setting, so his name wouldn't be considered strange by the other characters in the book. But I'd have to make clear that he wasn't some kind of half-animal type and that his name didn't mean "half-dog" or "exhibiting dog-like characteristics."

I'll probably never write that book.

Thanks to all the people

who wrote in wondering if I'd died. I hadn't died. I just took a few days off for the weekend.

No one wrote in. No one cares if I died. No one knows I'm even alive. No one knows this blog is here but me.

Well, it's an easy audience to satisfy.
